Sarah Palin, Lawrence O' Donnell, James Martin, and the "quantum pope" as "conscientious objector in the culture wars"

Lots going on here in these videos.

 I'll just highlight a couple.
1) As Fr. James Martin  (Colbert's chaplain, and a cool guy) commented alongside this video :"This always needs explaining: The Pope is not liberal. He is not conservative. He is a Christian. Christianity transcends political terminology. Jesus taught us that first. "  Maybe Francis is "conscientious objector in the culture wars".
Hey, maybe the pope is secretly friends with Rob Bell (:

2)I would also guess Fr Martin is wrong when he assumes what Palin meant by the pope's "liberal" comments, she meant his statements which sound universalist, sound like he's de-emphazing doctrine and pro-life views, being okay with atheism, or accepting of  Christian homosexuals, and  not  re: helping the poor.

Hey, maybe the pope is secretly friends with Rob Bell (:
