Since many folks know my history in the United Methodist Church
.....................they have wondered about my take on the new news.
The same UM bishop (Talbert) who forced several of us pastors out (that's my short take on what happened, I'm aware it is more multiplex than that) recently officiated a homosexual union in a UM church..against denominational law.
I don't have much of a take..
a public one, anyway....
I'm not inhouse (I'm...uh, outhouse) anymore

This article's headline confused me, as I couldn't imagine (and never had heard )that Talbert had ever opposed homosexual unions. Still not sure it's true, but it makes great headlines, and sound bytes :

Related: Tony Jones has called for euthanizing the UMC denomination, and for young clergy to leave; not for issues related to homosexual marriage (he is in favor), but due to the UMC being a huge bureaucracy/institution. Some of suggested Jones has even less authority to speak into this than I do (He's not UM)..but do read and ponder:
